My favourite Pizza restaurants in Vilnius

Vilnius in general has a great pizza scene. From great Neapolitan pizzerias run by Italians living here to Michelin-starred chefs opening Italian restaurants, there’s plenty to choose from. We also have some weird pizza chains that make pizzas that are only edible with things like “garlic sauce” (we call them guilty pleasures now). But let’s go through the spots I love the most, in the hope that you’ll discover something new too.

Zio Rigo (Šatrijos g. 1)

I would say that this is my favourite pizza restaurant in Vilnius. It’s a small, Italian-run pizzeria located a little bit outside the city center. It was founded by Italian Daniele Rigoni, together with two childhood friends from his hometown. They specialise in Neapolitan pizza. The flavours themselves vary from classics to unique and seasonal twists. Some people might call it a hidden gem because of its location, but sometimes it’s hard to get a table there, so it would be odd to call it hidden.

Flying Tomato (Multiple locations)

They started with a little food truck and by working at events, and now they have scaled their business to multiple locations. Even though it all started with pizza (Neapolitan, to be precise), they’ve grown into much more. All of their locations are great, all of them have great pizza, and their food in general is excellent.

Užupio picerija (Paupio g. 3)

One of the oldest Neapolitan pizza restaurants in Vilnius. It’s located in the heart of Vilnius, in Užupis. They have a great variety of flavours, and during busy times, you can even find queues outside.

Honorable mentions:

Forno di Martino (Verkių g. 27) — I guess it’s the best attempt at Roman-style pizza in Vilnius. It’s run by chef Martynas Praškevičius, who is known for his Michelin-starred restaurant Džiaugsmas in Vilnius.

Bonocosi (multiple locations) — if you like those one-metre-long pizzas with unique flavours.

And there are also spots like Osteria de Luca, Šuldu Buldu, Casa La Familia, 400 laipsnių, and Pizza Verde. All of them are alright, but compared to the top three listed above (or given my passion for Neapolitan pizza), they are just lacking a bit.
